Kraj februara je signal za popularni BoardGameGeek sajt da objavi nominacije u 15 kategorija za svoje 12te po redu Golden Geek Awards.

Preliminarno glasanje je završeno i poznati su finalisti u svim kategorijama, među kojima su igra godine, art i prezentacija, kartična igra, najinovativnija igra i mnoge druge.

Spirit Island u izdanju Greather Than Games ima fascinantnih osam nominacija a Gloomhaven u izdanju Cephalofair Games ima sedam nominacija koje uključuju i igru godine, art i prezentaciju, najinovativnija igra i kooperativna igra. The 7th Continent u izdanju Serious Poulp ima šest nominacija. Azul u izdanju Plan B Games ima pet nominacija. Isti broj nominacija imaju i Sagrada u izdanju Floodgate Games i Anachrony u izdanju Mindclash Games.

Charterstone u izdanju Stonemaiers Games ima četiri nominacije, kao i Rajan Lukatov Near and Far u izdanju Red Raven Games. Sa istim brojem nominacija tu je i Pandemic Legacy: Season 2 u izdanju Z-Man Games. Sa tri nominacije na listi su se našle Gaia Project, Century: Spice Road, Lisboa i Ethnos.
