Ponovo se pokazalo da marketing čini svoje, pa su igre sa najboljom medijskom kampanjom i prisustvom na socijalnim medijima prikupile i najvishe nominacija. Stonemaier Games ove godine ima čak dva predstavnika u trci za nagrade i to u kategoriji Igra godine sa Wingspan i Tapestry igrama. Pored toga, Wingspan ima najviše nominacija, čak 8, dok Tapestry ima 3.

Posle svima (ne)omiljene igre sa pticama, najviše nominacija, 6, je prikupio Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, uključujući i one za najbolji Art i prezentaciju i najinovativniju igru. Za njom slede The Crew: The Quest for Planet Nine, Marvel Champions: The Card Game i Pax Pamir sa po 5 nominacija. Sa 4 nominacije se mogu pohvaliti Barrage i UBOOT: The Board Game. Respektabilne 3 nominacije imaju Paladins of the West Kingdom, The Isle of Cats i Res Arcana.
